Tour 7 World War II cemetaries in Tobruk, Tripoli and Benghazi 12 days.

Day 1: EUROPE -TRIPOLI: Accommodation at a hotel in Tripoli.

Day 2: TRIPOLI- SABRATHA -TRIPOLI : Excursion to SABRATHA city (70 km) and visit of the antique city. Site visit of Sabratha and return to TRIPOLI. Visit of Marc Aurele arch and some old mosques.Dinner and night at hotel.

Day3: TRIPOLI -LEPTIS-MAGNA City of Septime Severe, Leptis-Magna has witnessed its apogee in the 2nd century AD. Visit of the antique town: theatre, thermes of Hadrian, the steps. Continuation to ZLITAN. Night at a hotel.

Day 4: LEPTIS MAGNA - SYRTE We return back to Leptis Magna because the beauty and the size of the site deserve a second visit to see the circus, the amphitheatre and the port. We continue to Syrte. Night at hotel.

Day 5: SYRTE - SULTAN - BENGHAZI: Visit of the museum of SULTAN then on to BENGHAZI, the old Serenice city, the capital of the Cyrenaic. Visit of the market and the old city. Night at hotel. .

Day 6: BENGHAZI – TUKRAH –PTOLEMAIS Visit of Tukrah and continuation to Ptolemais, the present day Tolmeitha, located in a very picturesque panorama of green mountains- Visit of the forum, the remarkable underground cisterns, the palace columns, the Byzantine church. Night at a hotel.

Day 7: AL BAYDA - CYRENE –AL BAYDA Day of visit of the sumptuous site of CYRENE the city of Asphodels. The vestiges of the town are on a plateau at an altitude of 600 m in the Jebel Akhdar. Visit of the Hellenistic Agora, the sanctuary of Appollon, the temple of Zeus, the naval triumph, the Thermes of Trajan and the Necropolis. Return to the hotel and dinner.

Day 8: AL BAYDA – APPOLONIA –TOBRUK Visit of Appollonia, the ancient part of Cyrena which guards three churches of Colonnades dating back to the 6th century A.D. Resuming the journey to Darnah. After lunch we head for Tobruk. Night in hotel.

Day 9: TOBRUK: Visit of theSecond World War cemeteries. Rest in the afternoon. Night in a hotel.

Day 10: TOBRUK -SULUNTA - KASRE LIBYA - BENGHAZI - TRIPOLI: We shall visit the important necropolis of Al-Amila located on a plateau. We then drive along the ruins of Roman and Byxantine buildings to Sulunta where we can see a surprising rock relief made by the ancient Libyan civilisation. We continue our way to Kasre Libya. The museum of this city shelters paleo-christian mosaics taken from an old church. After our visits we return back to Benghazi for the flight to Tripoli. Night at hotel.

Day 11: TRIPOLI :Visit of the museum situated in the old fortress. Visit of the old city and the arch of Marcus Aurelius.

Day 12: TRIPOLI - EUROPE
